Giving your Child the best Start in Life

Free Places and Funding

There are many ways for you to fund your child’s time at Phoenix Park Nursery. Detailed below is important information about free places and funding.

  • Free places are available using the Nursery Education Grant.
  • Early years’ free sessions (2, 3, and 4 year olds) are available for 38 weeks a year - the length of the school term.
  • Child tax credit is available to most families with an income up to £32,200 per annum. This is paid in addition to child benefit.
  • Working tax credit will help with up to 70% of childcare costs for parents who work at least 16 hours per week, with up to £175 per week paid for one child or £300 per week for two or more children. Again, this is paid in addition to child benefit.
  • Most employers also offer help with childcare by using childcare vouchers or direct salary payments, which can provide a huge saving on your tax and NI contributions. Ask your employer if they can provide vouchers through this very simple system, e.g. with Accor, KiddiVouchers, or Busy Bees.

Phoenix Park Nursery accepts all forms of childcare vouchers and payments from employers, colleges, and job centres. Please contact us for further details on all these schemes.
