Here at Phoenix Park Pre-school, our aim is to create an environment in which your children can learn and play, alongside preparing them for their important next steps in life. Using connections with our local schools, we have been learning how the children will be exploring phonics, what their daily routines might look like and the types of activities they might experience throughout their day. With the support and guidance from our very own full-time teacher, we hope to create a space which is going to allow a smooth and enjoyable transition to school. The children will engage in a range of child-initiated and adult-initiated activities, whilst beginning to learn Stage 1 phonics. We aim to communicate openly with parents, having regular catch ups to discuss progress, whilst also really encouraging our families to get involved in home learning! We can't wait to see what everyone gets up to so we can learn and expand the children's knowledge within the setting based on their interests. We understand that school can be a huge transition for both children and parents, and we hope to use our knowledge and experience to make it as 'worry-free' as possible!
I'm Emily, the Pre-school Manager. I am lucky enough to have been involved in the opening of both settings and have worked at the lovely Phoenix Park Nursery for 6 years. Since the opening of the first setting, I have achieved my Level 3 in Childcare and I'm so excited to use my skills to create a really unique place for you and your little ones. Over the next couple of years, I am hoping to complete training to become an Early Years Teacher, which I feel will be fantastic for my role within the Pre-school! In my spare time, I love spending time with my dogs and reading lots of books. Spending time with my friends and family is really important to me so I'm very lucky to work alongside some amazing people.
I'm Rhianne, the Pre-school Teacher. I have worked at Phoenix Park Nursery for 2 years and have now been given the opportunity to join the new Pre-school. I have recently achieved my Level 6 Degree in Childhood Studies and completed my PGCE to become a newly qualified teacher. I am so excited to meet you all and look forward to starting this journey with you!
I’m Jess, the Pre-School Deputy Manager and SENCO. I have worked in childcare for ten years and I am lucky enough to have worked at the Phoenix Park Nursery since we opened in 2015. I have had two children myself and both have attended the setting, with my first currently beginning her journey in to Primary School. I could not be more appreciative of the preparation, love and care that our nursery puts in to the children to prepare them for what is ahead as they leave us to begin their new adventures. I really am excited to welcome your children to our pre-school unit for us to be able to nurture them to the best of their abilities during their school transition year.
I'm Leia, and I have worked in Childcare for nearly 10 years. I have had experience of different Childcare settings, including foster homes in Morocco! I have worked at Phoenix Park Nursery for over 3 years and I am very excited to work in the new Pre-school. When I’m not at nursery, I enjoy taking my dog Harvey for walks and spending time with my niece on fun days out.
